CHYBL HISTORY:

 The Cowan Heights Youth Basketball League was formed by a group of interested parents in the Fall of 2000. The league started with 16 teams, 4 teams in each Division of Grades 3/4 Boys and Girls, and Grades 5/6 Boys and Girls. In 2002 we expanded 3 divisions to 6 teams each.  In 2004 the league expanded again to include Grades 7/8 Boys and Girls.   In the 2009 fall session we again felt the need to expand and have now included a K-2 mixed Division.  This has allowed the introduction of basketball at a very young age with the hopes of keeping the kids active throughout primary, elementary, and junior high.
