After weather delay on Saturday, the 2012 Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association Provincial U13 Girls Club Championship continues at St. Matthew's gym.

Championship game is scheduled for

Sunday February 5th at 11:00 at St. Matthew's. 
CHYBL vs. Feildians.

January 27

Winter 2012 Tentative Schedule has been posted.

Check the Tentative Schedules link at the left.

Practices will begin on Monday, January 30.

Games begin on Sunday, February 5.

More details to come in the next few days.

CHYBL HISTORY:

 The Cowan Heights Youth Basketball League was formed by a group of interested parents in the Fall of 2000. The league started with 16 teams, 4 teams in each Division of Grades 3/4 Boys and Girls, and Grades 5/6 Boys and Girls. In 2002 we expanded 3 divisions to 6 teams each.  In 2004 the league expanded again to include Grades 7/8 Boys and Girls.   In the 2009 fall session we again felt the need to expand and have now included a K-2 mixed Division.  This has allowed the introduction of basketball at a very young age with the hopes of keeping the kids active throughout primary, elementary, and junior high.
